Charged with designing a free-standing accessory dwelling unit (ADU) for a deep, wooded, hillside lot, we strove to keep the footprint minimal and materials natural. The shed roof aligns with the hill, minimizing visual impact to surrounding neighbors. Corner windows reach tall, allowing for both tree and sunset views of the bay. A cozy sleeping loft accommodates guests or renters above a simply efficient kitchen, providing all of the comforts of home in one bespoke, compact package.
