About Cari
Cari Rosner Jelen, a recipient of the prestigious Ettinger Scholarship for academic achievement while a high school senior, attended the University of Pennsylvania where she received a BA in Design of the Environment. While at Penn, she spent a semester abroad at Goldsmiths College, University of London and completed an honors thesis.
Ms. Rosner Jelen studied architecture in the graduate program at the University of California, Berkeley, where she was awarded the Raymond L Watson Prize for Community Design for her studio project before being awarded an M.Arch. Following her graduate studies, she accrued diverse architectural practice experience through internships at: Michelle Kaufman Designs, Oakland, CA — a prefab residential design firm; Marcy Wong Donn Logan Architects in Berkeley (more below); Drafting Cafe — a residential design and drafting firm; and McCall Design Group — a retail architecture practice in San Francisco.
In 2007, Cari served as project manager for a wide range of projects at Marcy Wong Donn Logan Architects, working closely with Partner Marcy Wong on the 275,000 square foot East Bay headquarters project for SunPower Corporation at the Ford Assembly Building in Richmond, CA. Management responsibilities covered a wide range of detail for a highly hands-on, fast-paced project. The SunPower program brief included corporate offices, light industrial uses, and employee amenities. The project, powered by a SunPower array of solar PV panels, was instrumental in the Ford Building’s receipt of numerous awards for design, sustainability, and preservation, including the American Institute of Architecture’s highest award, the Institute Honor Award.
Cari has been licensed by the California Architects Board (License C-35976). In 2019–2020, she served as President of Business Network International’s BNI Connect2Success Chapter (after serving as VP 2018–2019). As a Faculty Instructor with SNP Communications, Cari teaches Executive Presence and Presentation Skills.
